Vaginal discharge

It's my imagination, or do I have more vaginal discharge now?

It's not your imagination! During pregnancy, it is quite normal to have increased vaginal discharge. In most cases, the causes are benign and normal. These losses are certainly notice that you just vaginal discharge, discharge or loss creamy, odorless. They are the result of increased blood flow to the vagina. These losses are certainly not different from what you knew before pregnancy, they are just more abundant.

The vaginal discharge can they indicate something more serious?
If your losses change appearance, pay attention to them. If they are smelly, thick, yellowish or greenish, they itch or burn you, it may be a yeast infection or another infection. Contact your doctor, because you have to treat the infection before delivery.

You should also contact your gynecologist if you notice any loss brownish, without bleeding.

How to avoid a vaginal infection?
There is no foolproof method, but these tips can reduce the risk:

• Wash your hands thoroughly before touching your vagina, and always wipe carefully from front to back after using the toilet.
• Eat a yogurt a day: it contains a probiotic called lactobacillus acidophilus which fights infection.

• Lower doses of refined sugars in your diet.
